All new students to DeKalb County School District must complete an application for enrollment online at
A student is considered “NEW” if they have never attended a DCSD school or if they have not attended a DCSD school in the past 2 years.
The following documents are required to complete the application process:
  • An official document showing proof of birth date (birth certificate, certified birth record, official transcript). Students must be age 5 by September 1st to start kindergarten.
  • Current proof of residency (mortgage, lease, or utility bill showing name of parent/guardian and current address)
  • Valid Georgia Certificate of Immunization (GA Form #3231)
  • Evidence of Vision, Hearing, Dental, and Nutrition Screening (GA Form #3300-Rev. 2013)
  • Valid government-issued photo ID of the adult (parent or legal guardian) registering the child (drivers license, military ID, passport)
  • Child’s social security card/number (or you may sign a waiver)
  • Most recent report card or official school transcript (current K-12 student)
  • Most recent discipline records from previous school (students enrolling in grades 1-12)
  • Withdrawal documents from previous school (current K-12 student)
Returning Student Registration (Annual Verification)
Registration for returning students will be online through your Infinite Campus Parent Portal, this is the Annual Verification. 
By completing the Annual Verification, you will be able to:
  • Verify the Parent/Guardian information
  • Update contact phone numbers & emails
  •  Upload the required Proof of Residence* for the upcoming school year. If your address has changed, please notify Livsey Elementary at the Registration email listed above and place "change of address" in the subject line.

  • Parent/Guardian must have an Infinite Campus Parent Portal account to verify/update their student(s) information.
  • Parents/guardians who do not already have a portal account should visit for instructions.
  • Parents/guardians who have forgotten their portal username and/or password should click on the Forgot username? or Forgot password? link as appropriate on the portal login page

*Acceptable Proof of Residence Forms include: Lease, Mortgage, Deed, Utility (Water, Power or Gas).
Cell Phone/Cable/Internet Bills are not accepted.

A Notarized Affidavit of Residence form can be submitted if you live with someone else & there are no bills in your name. Please review page 5 of the Affidavit to see the required supporting documents to be provided with the Affidavit.
A Caregiver Affidavit must be submitted If the enrolling adult is not the birth parent or guardian but is acting as loco parentis (i.e., assuming the duties and responsibilities of a parent such as providing food, shelter, clothing and medical care) a Caregiver Affidavit must be completed.

Affidavit of Residence Reminder: 
  • Affidavit of Residence is valid for the current school year only, as long as the student and the student’s parent(s) or legal guardian(s) continue to reside at the address listed on the affidavit during that school year. The affidavit must be submitted annually before the start of each school year. This is also done on the Infinite Campus Parent Portal during the Annual Verification.

Transfer Students: (Students who are currently enrolled at a DCSD School need to upload a new proof of registration in the Parent portal and then send an email to the address above and include the following: Student's full name, Date of Birth, the previously attended DCSD school, Parent's Full Name, and new address.

Attendance Notes, Records Request and Withdrawal Request

Attendance Notes
When submitting an "Attendance Note" please place the student's name and Absence in the Subject Line of the email.
In the body of the email please include the date of absence/tardy, reason for absence/tardy and the Homeroom Teacher.
Records Request
When submitting a Records Request, please be sure to include the new school information, including the Name of School, County & the type of records required (academic, behavior, vitals, or complete file).
Withdrawal Request
If student is being "Withdrawn" please include the expected enrollment/start date for the new school with the school information.

The Pre-K lottery application for the 2024-2025 school year will be available at 8:00 am on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, and will close at 11:59 pm on Thursday, March 21, 2024. Seats are filled randomly through an electronic lottery process. The lottery results will be released March 27, 2024. Results will be released via email to all applicants. Applicants who are awarded a seat are to upload the remaining documents during the enrollment window of March 28, 2024- April 25, 2024.   
This link will take parents/stakeholders directly to the lottery platform for the 2024-2025 PreK3/PreK application.
Students must be age 4 by September 1st to start Pre-kindergarten.
